Engineered for Harsh Environments: >4 mm Creepage, Glass-Passivated Reliability, and High Surge Resilience
MCC introduces the PB-A Series of high-voltage bridge rectifiers (PBA2510, PBA3516), engineered to tackle two critical challenges in demanding power stages: insulation integrity under contamination or moisture, and heat management that impacts long-term reliability.
The PB-A package design delivers creepage distances greater than 4 mm, reinforcing surface insulation and reducing tracking or leakage in polluted or humid environments. Glass-passivated junctions stabilize reverse characteristics and minimize leakage, ensuring consistent performance over time.
Optimized thermal conductivity efficiently transfers heat from the die to the case, lowering junction temperatures and enabling smaller heatsinks, tighter layouts, or higher power output without sacrificing lifespan.
Available in 25 A and 35 A variants with 1000 V and 1600 V ratings, the PB-A Series offers robust surge capability to withstand inrush currents and AC transients while maintaining reliable blocking performance. With low thermal resistance, low forward voltage drop, and a rugged, easy-to-mount package, these rectifiers simplify qualification for AC front ends in SMPS, UPS, chargers, and industrial or infrastructure systems where safety margins, isolation integrity, and durability are paramount.
