MCC now offers a new automotive grade 1200V, 80A Trench Field Stop IGBT in a robust TO-247AB package, engineered to solve efficiency, thermal, and reliability challenges in high-voltage, high-current power systems. By pairing a low typical VCE(sat) of 2.25 V at 150°C with minimized switching losses and a low junction to case thermal resistance of 0.24 K/W, it boosts system efficiency, eases heatsinking, and enhances long term reliability.
AEC‑Q101 qualification confirms dependable performance, while high speed, smooth switching across hard and soft topologies reduces electrical stress. A positive temperature coefficient supports safe parallel current sharing, and a 150°C maximum junction temperature provides margin for demanding duty cycles—delivering smaller, cooler, and more reliable OBCs, traction inverters, renewable energy converters, industrial drives, and HVAC motor controllers.
