Low Loss, High Reliability, and Smooth Switching for Demanding Power Applications

MCC introduces the 1200V Trench Field Stop (TFS) IGBT Series, designed to deliver efficient, rugged, and versatile power switching across industrial and automotive applications. Housed in the proven TO-247AB package and available in current ratings from 40A to 80A, these IGBTs combine low conduction and switching losses with fast, smooth transitions and integrated soft-recovery anti-parallel diodes. 

Automotive-grade options are AEC‑Q101 qualified with TJ max of 150°C, while industrial-grade variants support up to 175°C junction temperature for extended thermal headroom and long service life. The series is ideal for motor drives, UPS systems, EV traction and auxiliary systems, and high-power converters where efficiency, robustness, and predictable behavior under stress are critical. 

The trench field-stop architecture enables: 

  • Low forward voltage and switching losses for improved efficiency and reduced thermal load 
  • Integrated fast, soft-recovery diodes to minimize EMI and simplify filter design 
  • High breakdown voltage (1200V) and positive temperature coefficient for stable current sharing and robust short-circuit performance
