On July 3rd, 2020 U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) approved activation of Micro Commercial Components, Corp. (MCC) Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) in Simi Valley, California. Following activation, MCC began full fledge FTZ operations on August 20, 2020.

Tariffs and foreign trade issues have always been standard negotiating policy among the global community for centuries. By taking this step, we at MCC have essentially removed our selves from current global trade impacts and taken hold of our own destiny. As a FTZ we are authorized by the U.S. Federal Government to treat all merchandise (foreign or domestic) the same as if it were outside the U.S. commerce. This mean deferment of duties and taxes on foreign privalidge goods. As will as additional services such as in-bond deliveries to other FTZ zones or bonded warehousing facilities. A great benefit which many of MCC customers are taking advantage of today!

This process was started in Q4 of 2018 and has taken well over a year and a half to complete. We would like to congratulate everyone at MCC including the FTZ project team, supply chain compliance team, MCC’s Import Broker Firm: World Exchange, our logistic partners, and of course our Customers – for all of the hard work in making this achievement possible.

Please contact MCC if you have any questions regarding MCC’s Foreign Trade Zone.
