1200V IGBT Modules Featuring Low VCE(sat), Integrated Soft-Recovery Freewheeling Diodes, and Rugged E1A & E2 Packages for Industrial Power Conversion

Micro Commercial Components (MCC) expands its IGBT module portfolio with the introduction of the MIP50R12E1AML-BP and MIP75R12E2ML-BP, a new family of 1200V IGBT modules designed to deliver high efficiency, rugged performance, and thermal reliability for demanding industrial power conversion systems. As industrial applications continue to demand higher power density, greater efficiency, and long-term reliability, engineers require IGBT modules that minimize switching losses while maintaining stable operation under harsh electrical and thermal conditions.

The MIP Series addresses these challenges by combining a 1200V collector-emitter voltage rating with 50A and 75A current options in industry-standard E1A and E2 module packages. Featuring low collector-emitter saturation voltage (VCE(sat) typ. 2.05V and 1.9V), integrated ultra-fast soft-recovery anti-parallel freewheeling diodes (FWD), high short-circuit withstand capability of up to 8µs, and a maximum junction temperature of 175°C, the modules are engineered for efficient, high-power operation. An integrated NTC thermistor enables accurate temperature monitoring, while the low-inductance package design improves switching performance and overall system reliability. These characteristics make the MIP Series an ideal solution for motor drives, UPS systems, welding equipment, servo drive systems, industrial inverters, renewable energy converters, and industrial power supplies.
